Prokofiev Piano Concerto, Sibelius & Washington

Hopkins Symphony Orchestra
Shriver Hall Auditorium
Saturday, Dec 7, 2019 at 7:30 PM (ET)

Presenting the HSO debut of Assistant Conductor Jordan Randall Smith, this program moves from the powerful haunting sounds of Shelley Washington's Third Colossus, through a similar resonance of Sibelius’ 7th Symphony and then contrasts with the crisp kinetic and virtuosic Prokofiev 3rd Piano Concerto with Janice Carissa, a supremely engaging colorful young pianist.

Pre-concert talk at 6:30pm with WBJC's Jonathan Palevsky. Tickets $12-14, free for JHU students (w/ ID) at the door.

Please contact HSO with any ticket or event related questions, hso@jhu.edu, 410.516.6542
